“Hello. I bought the HT112 and EX112 after playing through them only a couple of minutes. My main rig is a Bag End S15D-X with an AccuGroove Tri112 on top. My temporal center now being NYC, there’s no use in trying to lug around an El Whappo to every gig! I love it but it had to stay in KC. My new location has given me an excuse to buy more gear and put together a small, portable, “subway-friendly” rig. I have been drooling over the WW amps ever since I played through an older dual-channel my former bass teacher owns. For cabs, I was considering Epifani’s UL series, the Aguilar 112 and of course the Bergies! The only mentioned cabs that were available for audition anywhere near Lawrence, KS was Mass Street Music. They now carry Aguilar products and had two 112s they let me audition for a couple nights. They were so light and very small. One huge annoyance was the handle. There’s just one handle and it’s mounted on the right side if you’re looking at it from the front (stacked horizontally). If you stack them with the labels orientated correctly (horizontal), no problem. When stacking them vertically the handles make even stacking the cabs themselves unstable. It would be foolish to try and put an amp on top of it. Little things like this make the Bergantino cabs a step above their competitors. After playing a Clarus 1 through one HT112 I was completely smitten with the combo. The salesperson told me that Jim recommends using the HT with the EX. I then tried the HT/EX combination and was so stirred I bought them right up. I didn’t even have my own bass to audition the cabs, either! Now my rig will be a Clarus 1, Berg HT112 and EX112. It will take some time for the cabs to settle and I look forward to making comparisons to other familiar cabinets and amplification. Jim you’ve done a hell of a job, here!” Cheers, B

“On a recommendation from Mr. Bergantino, I purchased a Crest CA9 power amplifier and it made a world of difference with my NV610! I used a PLX2402 prior to the Crest. If you’re in the market for the finest bass cabinets on the Planet, then do yourself a favor and talk to Jim about what made his wonderful boxes do their thing. I’m very pleased with my setup.”

“I get so many compliments on the sound of my fretless jazz through my HT210 with an Ashdown head. I’ve discovered I can play half the notes than I usually play, and still make the same money. It’s such an awesome sound, it has become almost therapeutic for the audience, as well as myself. I guess as more bass players find out about your products, the more I will have to rely on my skill level.” Thanks Jim! Glenn Ashton

“I too, have recently purchased one of the finest cabinets ever to set wheel in my basement. And to think, it took me only three years of playing to find this cabinet. A “newbie” I may be, but my ear is as discriminating as the touring professional, and I know when I hear quality. Paired with my Elrick Classic 5 and Eden preamp, the HT322 makes my tone the most transparent, and “me-sounding” that it has ever been. These cabinets truely are the clearest thing I have ever heard in my life. I play a lot of high volume slap/tapping stuff, and not so, but at the same time this cabinet, as stated in previous posts, remains clear and unfatigued even after hours upon hours of playing. If anyone reading this is trying to make a decision between ANY of Mr. Bergantino’s product with ANY other cabinet on the market….you need sit back, and look at what all of these people are saying about this product. It simply smokes (not literally)!!! Now, I don’t think I can say anything else that hasn’t already been stated about this product except…If you seriously care about your tone, you would be a FOOL not to pick up one of these enclosures. (All I need to do now is save up the cash to get ANOTHER HT322!!!)”

“Just picked up an HT112 and an EX112 @ Bass Northwest and used them over the weekend. The sound is just utterly awesome. Did notice one thing that would be a bit nicer, at least for me. Is it possible to put the handle strap on the side versus the top of the speaker enclosure? I probably really shouldn’t place an amp on top of the cab, but some situations are tight on space. Thanx guys.”

“Bergantino, I don’t know where to begin with these cabs except that they are like nothing else I’ve tried in the past. And I do mean NOTHING. These cabs have yet to be discovered by my fellow bassists (some of whom are still struggling with find their ‘sound’). I usually portray an advocate of good news and it would be more than a boost of persuasion for these guys to hear these cabinets. Maybe (and most likely) it will change their minds. I know that from here on out these cabs will always be a firsthand choice for me. There’s a catch phrase that I hear quite often whenever a new product makes its way into the marketplace; usually whatever ‘IT’ may be, ‘IT KICKS ASS’. In this particular case, ‘BERGANTINO KICKS ASS’. On the day I purchased my first HT112 cabinet, it took several hours prior to making a choice. During that time I’m able to try four of the larger cabs; I was ridiculously blown away by every damned one of these loud bastards, thus making my choice even harder. Being that the HT112 would eventually have become my choice, I’m anxiously brimming with impatience in preparation for my later gig at an outside venue while at the same time, I’m pondering about being outside – I HATE PLAYING OUTSIDE. But, nonetheless, the 112 make an unbelievable impact on me. I’ll never doubt these cabs again. I received nothing but comments about this cab all night because it speaks for itself. In the near future, my next cab will be the HT210. I’m definitely sure it’ll blow me away – like Michael J. Fox from “BACK TO THE FUTURE”. Bergantino, you guys are setting the standard for the future. Thanks and keep up the good work.” Craig Shaw
